When Should Children Visit the Dentist?
Dentists recommend that children begin going to the dentist within 6 months of getting their first tooth. Most children get their first teeth around the age of 6 months, so they should first visit the dentist when they are about 1 year old.
If your child is older than 1 year and hasn’t been to the dentist yet, you should schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Our dentists will make sure your child’s teeth and gums are healthy and ensure they are on the right track to maintain a healthy smile.

In addition to regular cleanings and exams, you should help your child practice good habits at home. Your child should brush and floss their teeth twice per day. When they are young, you should assist them to ensure their teeth are cleaned thoroughly.
